Before founding Nancy A. Williams & Associates in 1994, Nancy was the Records & Information Manager for four years at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, a 300-plus attorney firm in San Francisco. Overall, Nancy has been helping lawyers organize their information for more than 25 years. In addition, she has worked for engineering and construction, environmental, commercial real estate, retail, and manufacturing companies, and public utilities, applying records management best practices in these industries to her legal clients.

Nancy has a BS degree in Administrative Management from Golden Gate University in San Francisco and is a Certified Records Manager (CRM). She has completed one year of legal research in the paralegal program at San Francisco State University.

Nancy has published articles in several legal magazines and newsletters, including National Law Journal, San Francisco Attorney, The Bottom Line, and the newsletters of the Golden Gate and East Bay chapters of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA), and gives presentations and seminars on legal records management topics to legal organizations and bar associations.

Nancy is a member of ARMA International, the professional organization for records & information managers, and was President of the Golden Gate Chapter for two years.
